Making Multiplication Tables Easy to Learn

My son is a big foodie. Easily eats all cuisines and enjoys the vegetables except for one. Capsicum! He hates the vegetable. If I put capsicum in his ever so favourite Pasta he will refuse to eat it. If I put it on a vegetable stir-fry he will push the plate away from him. This one humble capsicum is enough for him to refuse food (his big love). The same thing applies to Maths, not liking (or wanting) to learn one concept is enough for a child to dislike the subject. Learning Multiplication tables is one of those concepts. A basic concept if learnt well can make Maths easy and fun for your child.

Now, if you are a mother ( okay Fathers as well! haha.. before you come at me saying that you are actively involved in your child’s life as well)

So, if you are a mother or a father then you have ( at some point) disguised healthy vegetables into your child’s food. Putting ‘Baigan’ on a Pizza is a bit too far but you get my point.

So if we can disguise vegetables to make their food healthy, can’t we teach them easy ways they can learn mathematical concepts?

It will make their learning so much more joyful, isn’t it?

Yes, we can make Multiplication tables easy to learn. And I will show you how.

Remember, How a child learns a concept depends on how we teach it. The more fun we make it the better our children will respond to it.

Rule #1     Encourage your child to understand concepts rather than rote learning ( ‘Ratta’ as we know it).

Did you know that doing ‘Ratta (रट्टा)’ or memorizing something without understanding it – creates a disconnect in a child’s learning?
