A Beautiful World of Poems

Singing them poems is the first thing we do as we hold their tiny bodies in our arms. Before we know it, those children begin to have their own favourite songs and the requests begin. They see no day or night. Just expect us to sing to them.

We sing to them when they cry.

We have a song when they laugh.

Not to forget the night lullaby.

Poems and songs become an integral part of our lives.

Soon they start speaking and we start milking all we have taught them by putting them up for a  little show every time guests arrive.

We do not realise that the singing that was primarily meant to entertain the child played a vital role in his linguistic intelligence.

For one, it helped your child grow a bond with your voice. You taught him listening skills, rhythm, language and gave them a sense of security with this simple task of singing to them every moment of their waking hours.

The impact of rhymes with fiction and realistic figures help widen a child’s perspective in a creative manner.

Seema shares her beautiful piece of art, a series of 14 downloadable poems for your child’s recital or singing competition.
